The Suppose U Drive Family
Suppose U Drive has always thrived as a family-owned, community-minded business. Over the years, as we grew across multiple locations and expanded our fleet, we also grew our team. What has not changed is the way we operate: personal service, high standards, and people who take pride in doing things right.
We have built a low-turnover culture by putting employees first. We believe happy employees help create happy customers, and that only happens when team members have the training, support, and resources they need to succeed. From the yard to the shop to the office, every person plays a role in keeping trucks work-ready and customers moving.
Three generations of Johnston leadership
Founder: No description of Suppose U Drive is complete without Estele Edwin Johnston, known as Eddie Sr., who started the business in 1936 with his wife Mildred, known as Millie, and three Dodge trucks. Their early approach still shows up today: treat customers fairly, take care of the equipment, and stand behind the work.
Second generation: After Estele’s passing in the early 1980s, his son Edwin Estel Johnston, known as Eddie Jr., carried the business forward and helped shape the company through decades of growth. He ran the operation for more than 20 years before stepping back and passing leadership to the next generation.
Third generation: Today, Suppose U Drive is operated by Justin Johnston (President/COO) and Cameron Johnston (Vice President of Sales). They continue the same customer-first standards and work ethic that built the company, while expanding the business to support more commercial customers across the Southwest.
Our Team Today
Below are a few longtime leaders who help keep the operation running smoothly. Just as important, every team member across our yards, service department, and office contributes to the day-to-day experience customers count on.
- Steve Rubio: Service Manager. With the company since 1979.
- Jack Hernandez: VP of Operations. With the company since 1993.
- Lucy Boujaklian: Chief Financial Officer. With the company since 1994.
